Whether this is your first time in Bali or you have visited many times before, join us on a magical exploration of soothing nature, timeless culture and the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana – living in harmony with nature, man and the spiritual world.

Let us take you for walks in the rice fields, an excursion to an ancient village and snorkeling on the east coast. And also engage in traditional artistic techniques like batik, weaving and silver smithing.

While in Ubud we will also spend an afternoon with the Balinese family that Nicole and Paul live with. Many of them are traditional dancers and musicians and they will show us how to weave the offerings from palm leaves and teach us a simple dance and music piece.
On two mornings we will also visit the Threads of Life dye studio for some batik and natural indigo dyeing as well as a small silver smithing studio in Ubud where you can design and make your own jewellery.

Throughout the week you can also be creative with a small weaving project using plant dyed threads and other materials and maybe finding inspiration from local designs.

While in Candi Dasa we will go on a visit to the nearby village of Tenganan. Here people still live by the original traditions, ceremonies and rules of the ancient Bali Aga culture. The village has a unique layout and architecture and is only accessible on foot. It is also famous for the Double Ikat – a sacred cloth that is dyed with plant materials and woven with intricate designs.

On the second afternoon at Pondok Pisang we are planning to hire a boat and go snorkeling at Blue Lagoon.

As always while in Sayan we will eat at our favourite cafés and restaurants, including a Balinese buffet for our welcome dinner at the Yellow flower Café.

At Pondok Pisang you can choose between the complimentary buffet of healthy vegetarian Balinese meals or going into the village to one of the restaurants.

And there will of course also be plenty of time to relax by the pool, enjoy your complimentary massage and if you feel like it make an essential oil blend with Nicole to support you on your journey.
